Fresh from AK Press

By popular demand: we've ordered some books from AK Press, the worker-managed press specializing in radical left and anarchist books.  In Every Town: An All-Ages Music Manualfesto is an anthology of pieces about "getting your scene off the ground". Local hero Kimya Dawson wrote the introduction, and Britt Curtis contributed a piece about Seattle's Vera Project. Some other highlights: "Radical Brewing", a zine by Steve Stuffit;  Donald Dulchinos's Forbidden Sacrements: The Survival of Shamanism in Western Civilization; Jason Hribal's Fear of an Animal Planet: The Hidden History of Animal Resistance; a zine about herbal first aid; a reprinting of Shandor Elliz Katz's original wild fermantation zine, which was later expanded into the full-length book of the same name.
