New release... Monday?? Maher, Palast, Grafton, Patterson

Some well-known authors are trying to steal a march during publishing's busiest season with a Monday, rather than the traditional Tuesday, release. Bill Maher cranks up the cranky in The New New Rules. Sleuthing journalist Greg Palast, author of The Best Democracy Money Can Buy,  follows a trail of petroleum around the world in Vultures' Picnic. And two top thriller writers have new releases today as well, both fresh volumes in long-running series: James Patterson's Kill Alex Cross and Sue Grafton's V is for Vengeance.
