New books! From Paris to Pluto...

Tatiana de Rosnay, author of the recent book club favorite Sarah's Key, returns with  The House I Loved, an historical novel set in Baron Haussmann's Paris, where Rose Bazelet is trying to forestall the destruction of the titular dwelling... Now in paperback: Mike Brown's How I Killed Pluto and Why It Had It Coming. It sounds like one of those baroque science fiction novels, but it's actually the memoir of the astronomer whose discoveries sparked the controversy that ended with Pluto being stripped of its planetary status. "Suddenly Brown was receiving hate mail from schoolchildren...." Wow. That's a real pizza pie in the face.
